A brief history
(According to Rob)
In a book I have called "Shropshire Parish Documents" that
contains an "Inspection of Parish Documents under section 17 of the
Local Government Act, 1894" (the date of which I am unsure but there
is a hand written date of 1946 on the inside cover although I suspect
this relates closer to the reprint date). This covers an inspection of
Parish documents held within the County of Shropshire and carried out
by the Shropshire County Council.
