This is a translation of the Domesday reference for Ercall. At this time it was in the Wrockwardine Hundred.

Ercall (Archelou). Earl Edwin held it, with 5 outliers (or berewicks), 7 hides. In Lordship (or Demense) are 6 ploughs and 12 ploughmen (or ox men).
29 villagers (or villans) and 12 smallholder's (or bordars) have 15 ploughs.
2 mills pay 12 pack loads (or summae) of corn and a fishery at 1,502 large eels and 1 league of woodland.
Value before 1086 £20, now as much.
By custom whenever the Countess came to the manor, 18 ora of pence were bought to her.

Directly below this translation is the translation for Wellington. This to was worth £20 prior to 1086 but only £18 after. Ercall must have been doing quite well back then!

Osbaston (Sbernestune). Siward and Alwig held it. There are 2 hides. There is land for 6 ploughs. There are 2 leauges of woodland. They were and are waste.
