1839 High Ercall map shows very roughly how the village looked in 1839. One noteable feature is the Public House, the Darlington Arms.
1880s High Ercall map now includes the new School built in 1877, the Cleveland Arms and the Toll house. The site of the Darlington Arms Public House is now a pound.
