Newport Family of High Ercall

in High Ercall.
5. Thomas Newport. He married Anna Arcoll. Lived in High Ercall.

7. William Newport. He married Elizabeth Burgh, daughter of Sir John Burgh,
lived in High Ercall.
8. John Newport. Born before 1473, died 1512. He married Alicia Swynerton,
daughter of Sir Thomas Swynerton, lived in High Ercall.
9. Thomas Newport. He married Anna Corbet, daughter of Sir Robert Corbet,
lived in High Ercall.
10. Sir Richard Newport. Born before 1554, died 1570. He married Margaret
Bromley, daughter of Sir Thomas Bromley, lived in High Ercall.
11. Sir Francis Newport. Born before 1570, died 15 Mar 1622. He married
Beatrix Lacon, daughter of Rowland Lacon, lived in High Ercall.
12. Sir Richard Newport. Born 7 May 1587, died 8 Feb 1650/51. He married
Rachael Leveson, daughter of Sir John Leveson, before 1615. He was created
1st Baron Newport of High Ercall on 14 October 1642 for his loyalty to
the Royal cause. Lived in High Ercall.
13. Francis Newport. Born 23 Feb 1619/20, died 19 Sep 1708. He married
Lady Diana Russell, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Russell, 4th Earl
of Bedford and Catharine Brydges, on 28 April 1642. He succeeded to the
title of 2nd Baron Newport of High Ercall on 8 February 1650/51. He was
created 1st Viscount Newport of Bradford (Shropshire) on 11 March 1674/75.
He was created 1st Earl of Bradford (Shropshire) on 11 May 1694.
14. Richard Newport. Born 3 Sep 1644, died 14 Jun 1723. He married Mary
Wilbraham, daughter of Sir Thomas Wilbraham, 3rd Baronetcy. and Elizabeth
Mitton on 20 April 1681. He succeeded to the titles of 2nd Earl of Bradford
(Shropshire), the 3rd Baron Newport of High Ercall, the 2nd Viscount Newport
of Bradford (Shropshire) on the 19 September 1708.
15. Henry Newport. Born 1683, died 23 Dec 1734. He died on 23 December
1734 in St. James Place, London, England, without legitimate issue, apparently
unmarried. He succeeded to the titles of 4th Baron Newport of High Ercall,
the 3rd Earl of Bradford (Shropshire), the 3rd Viscount Newport of Bradford
(Shropshire) on te 14 June 1723.
16. Thomas Newport, brother of 12, Henry Newport. Born 1696, died 18 Apr
1762. He died on 18 April 1762 in Weston Park, Staffordshire, England,
unmarried. He succeeded to the titles of 5th Baron Newport of High Ercall,
the 4th Earl of Bradford (Shropshire), the 4th Viscount Newport of Bradford
(Shropshire) on 23 December 1734.
On his death in 1762, all of his titles became extinct and the estates
were administered by his sister, Diana.
